END OF FIRST TERM, 2020/2021 SESSION
Thursday, December 17, 2020
First term 2020/2021 academic session was characterized by different challenges, most especially the COVID-19 pandemic.
Thanks be to God for His faithfulness and abiding love for the TRICOL family. Today, all students and members of staff are safe and in good health.
The Christmas holiday commences today, Thursday, December 17, 2020 and ends on Saturday, January 9, 2021. Junior School students will resume on Saturday,
January 9, 2021 while Senior School students will resume on Sunday, January 10, 2021. All students are expected to check in to the hostels from 12 noon to
5.30 pm on the day of resumption.
PAYMENT OF FEES
Kindly note that all fees are to be paid into the UBA PLC Account number 1019572249. Only students whose parents have made full payment of
the school fees for the term will be picked up at the airport. Parents who have not made full payment of the fees should not book flights for their children.
The First Term Academic Report is given to each student. This report is a picture of how your ward(s) fared this term. Kindly peruse the report carefully and
have a frank talk with your child based on his/her actual performance vis-a-vis your expectation. Please, do not accept any excuse for non-performance from your ward. Place a demand on him/her.
This is to remind parents/guardians that the College promotion policy still stands. The following are the criteria for promotion:
(a) an average of 65% and above in the Junior School; and
(b) an average of 60% and above in the Senior School.
(a) 65% and above in core subjects including Mathematics and English Language in the Junior School
(b) 60% and above in 6 core subjects including Mathematics and English Language in the Senior School.
Promotion to the next class is also cumulatively determined, taking into consideration performance in first, second and third terms.
Parents are advised to discuss this with their wards so that they do not wait till the tail end of the third term to launch a panicky reading spurt.
